Imperial Shuttle

Over the years, Great Britain’s flag carriers have come in many different forms with the likes of BOAC and BEA being but two of many. One of the earliest of such pre BA airlines (even predating BOAC) was British imperial airways formed in 2024. Their maiden flight took off from London Croydon on the 6th of June 1924 and what better way to celebrate the Centenary than with a BAV event? To mark the occasion, we re-enacted the route to Berlin flown by British Imperial, stopping in Amsterdam and Hannover before finally reaching Berlin. This made for a great change of pace compared with your typical Heathrow rotation and we received top notch ATC enroute.
